How to copy command prompt output?
It is fairly simple process. Start by opening your command prompt. Follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Press Window+R keys to open the Run dialog box.
Step 2: Type cmd in Run dialog box.
Step 3: Press Enter or hit OK button. It will open command prompt window.
Step 4: Run the command dir to list the directories in your current directory. The output of my current directory looks like:
Step 5: Right Click anywhere in command prompt window and Select Mark:
Step 6: Select the output area you want to copy by dragging the mouse on the command prompt window:
Step 7: After you complete the text selection, press Enter. It will copy the text. Now open your notepad and paste the text by using [Ctrl+V] keyboard combination.
You may copy the output of command prompt anywhere you like by using this simple trick.
